Gather Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2, 2026
Gather is made by one person, oclyke. It doesn't collect, transmit, or share any of your data. It contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party code, and it makes no network connections.
Your photos
Gather reads your photo library on your device to decide which photos to suggest for deletion. Photos you confirm are deleted through iOS's standard Photos deletion dialog. Your photos are never uploaded or copied anywhere.
Face detection
Gather uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to count faces in photos. Only the count is saved, on your device. No face data or images leave your phone.
What's stored on your device
Gather saves its settings, a log of deletions, and some photo metadata (like filenames and face counts) in the app's own storage. Like all app data, this is included in your device backups. Deleting the app removes it.
Changes
If this ever changes, I'll update this page and the date above.
